How to move a device to another network?

To move devices on networks owned by other user accounts, modify permission at the organisation level is required. If modify permission was granted for a shared network, but not the associated organisation, devices inside the shared network cannot be moved. Related UI elements will not be visible should the permission level be insufficient. See details on Plasma Cloud permissions here.

The Plasma Cloud console allows to easily move devices across networks. In order to move a device, you need to:

1. Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
2. Select the Organisation and Network with the device you want to move from top right menu;
3. Navigate to either Access Points, Switches or Media Converter in the main menu on the left;
4. Identify your device of interest in the Device table;
5. Click on the three dot menu button at the end of the table row and select Move device;

6. A pop-up window will appear. Open the drop-down menu, select the organisation and network you want to move your device to, and click Move.

Device Details Page

The Move Device option is also available on each Device Details page under the Status tab. To use it, click on the three-dot button on the right, select Move Device, and follow the instructions in the popup window (as shown above).
