- Navigate to either Access Points or Switches in the main menu on the left;
- Identify your device of interest in the device table;
- Click on the three dot menu button at the end of the table row and select Move device;
- A pop-up window will appear. Open the drop-down menu, select the organisation and network you want to move your device to, and click Move.
Depending on the device type (Access Point or Switch), you will be presented with a different popup:
Move Switch pop-up window
Move Access Point pop-up window
Device Details Page
The Move Device option is also available on each Device Details page under the Status tab. To use it, click on the three-dot button on the right, select Move Device, and follow the instructions in the pop-up window (as shown above).
You will receive a notification once the operation has succeeded.
Please note that devices may be configured with resources specific to the network and organisation they currently belong to. Network resources include SSIDs for Access Points; VLANs and PoE schedules for Switches. Organisation resources are traffic, outage and settings history data. When moving a device, these configurations will be removed from the device.
In shared networks, devices can only be moved by users with modify or delete permissions.
