WiFi AI automatically optimizes WiFi settings across the network. WiFi AI constraints let you control which channel widths WiFi AI can select for each available WiFi band.
Manage WiFi AI constraints
To manage WiFi AI constraints in your network, you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network you wish to activate WiFi AI for from the top right menu;
- Navigate to Settings > Network in the main menu on the left;
- Activate the WiFi AI toggle in the Wireless section;
- Enable the Advanced Settings toggle.
- For each available WiFi band, select the channel widths that WiFi AI is allowed to use.
- Only WiFi bands supported by the Access Points in the network are displayed.
- Selected channel widths are shown in blue.
- Save the configuration.
By default, no WiFi AI constraints are applied, and the Advanced Settings toggle is disabled.
How constraints are applied
When all channel widths are selected for a band, no restriction is applied to that band.
If one or more channel widths are deselected, WiFi AI is restricted to the remaining selected channel widths.
At least one channel width must be selected for each WiFi band. |
