Pairing is the operation that links a device to your Plasma Cloud account and allows the two to exchange data securely. This prevents third parties from impersonating an Access Point and sending or receiving data to/from the cloud on its behalf.
When an Access Point needs to be paired with your Plasma Cloud account, it will show an alert in the form of a red triangle in the status column of the Access Point list, as shown below. On mouse hover, the message Pairing needed will pop-up.
This commonly occurs after re-flashing an Access Point with a new firmware. To pair your Access Point, you can simply click on in the popup. Expect this operation to take up to 5 minutes.
