The Network Settings page allows users to configure and manage key network parameters. It includes the following sections outlined below.
General Details
Configure basic network information, including the network name, address, and time zone.
An optional Description field is available for adding custom notes.
Wireless
Enable or disable WiFi AI. WiFi AI is a set of intelligent mechanisms that automatically optimize your WiFi configuration for best performance.
Enabling WiFi AI is recommended. More details are available here.
Mesh
Wireless Mesh extends network coverage by connecting non-wired Access Points to the nearest wired Access Point. For more information, see this article.
WiFi Radios (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz)
Enable or disable radios on a particular frequency band. Select channels, channel width and adjust TX power. You may do so automatically through WiFi AI (recommended), or manually. Available radio frequencies (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz) depend on the Access Point capabilities present in the network.
Wired clients
Configure wired clients using these modes: Routing, Bridge, or Merge with SSID. An overview of each mode is available in this article. A step-by-step guide for managing wired client settings can be found here.
Firmware Upgrade
Manage the firmware version used by your network. You can choose to follow your organization’s default firmware policy or apply firmware settings specific to this network. For details, please refer to this article.
Maintenance Window
A maintenance window defines a scheduled period during which unattended maintenance may occur.
During this time, temporary service disruptions may happen. For details, please refer to this article.
Alerts
Configure alerts to be notified when devices in your network experience issues. For details, please refer to this article.
LEDs
Configure device LED behavior using one of the following modes: Active, Alerts only, or Inactive. For details, please refer to this article.
Certain firmware versions unlock specific features in the Console. If a section seems to be missing in your SSID settings, please check your firmware version and refer to our release notes. |
Wireless settings are displayed only if at least one WiFi Access Point exists in the network. |
