Networks and individual Access Points can be configured to merge wired clients with an SSID. If a mismatch in the wired client configuration is detected, the Plasma Cloud console will warn you and activate a fallback configuration.
This mismatch can be caused in two ways:
Network and Device Settings Mismatch
If Network settings are configured to merge all wired clients with an SSID but the specified SSID hasn't been assigned to an Access Point within that network, a wired client warning will be triggered. The affected Access Point will revert to Routing mode.
To resolve this issue:
- Navigate to Access Points in the main menu on the left;
- Identify the Access Point with an info sign next to the status icon;
- Click on the Configure button inside the error message, or anywhere within the related Access; Point table row to open the Access Point details page;
- Locate the Assigned SSIDs section;
- Ensure the intended SSID for merging wired clients is assigned to your device. If it is missing, simply click on the Assign SSID field and select the intended SSID from the drop-down menu, and press save;
- Alternatively, override the affected device wired clients configuration. To do so, disable the "Follow network settings" toggle and change the settings as needed.

Device Settings Mismatch
Similarly, if the Access Point settings are configured to merge wired clients with an SSID and the specified SSID doesn't match any of its Assigned SSIDs, it will also trigger the wired client warning. The affected Access Point will revert to Routing mode.
To address this, ensure the SSID intended for merging wired clients is assigned to your device. To do so,
- Click on the Assigned SSID field and select your intended SSID from the drop-down menu;
- Go back to Wired clients section and select your intended SSID from the drop-down menu;
- Press Save.
