End of Life Guidelines
Plasma Cloud remains committed to selling and supporting products if there is demand (and external factors permit).
EOL
A product end of life (EOL) policy outlines the procedures and guidelines a company follows when discontinuing a product or service. At Plasma Cloud, we are committed to providing superior products and services to our customers. As part of our product lifecycle management, we periodically review our product offerings to ensure alignment with market demands and technological advancements.
EOL Process
EOS
The End of Sale (EOS) date refers to the point in time when a product or service is no longer available for purchase from Plasma Cloud or its Distributors. After this date, the product or service will not be sold or distributed to new customers. Plasma Cloud will provide a minimum of 6 months notice to customers, partners, and stakeholders before the EOS date. This notice will include details about the EOS timeline, reasons for the discontinuation, and any available alternatives.
EOM
An End of Maintenance (EOM) policy outlines the procedures and guidelines a company follows when discontinuing maintenance support for a product or service. This policy ensures that customers are informed and supported during the transition and that the company remains compliant with legal and regulatory obligations. Below outlines our EOM policy:
- The End of Maintenance (EOM) date marks the point at which Plasma Cloud will no longer provide maintenance services, including firmware/software updates, bug fixes, security patches.
- Plasma Cloud will provide a minimum of 12 months advance notice to customers before the EOM date. This notice will include the specific EOM date and last firmware/software supported, reasons for the discontinuation, and any relevant support options available post-EOM.
- Up until the EOM date, Plasma Cloud will continue to provide maintenance, this includes delivering updates, patches, and technical support.
- After the EOM date, maintenance services will no longer be provided. However, customers will have access to previously released updates, documentation, and any final maintenance releases. Engineering support will only be provided for critical security vulnerabilities until the hardware reaches its End of Support date. Limited support may be offered on a case-by-case basis, subject to specific agreements or service extensions.
- Plasma Cloud and its Distributors will offer guidance and support to customers transitioning away from the product or service. This may include recommendations for newer products or versions, migration assistance, or third-party support options.
- The EOM announcement will be communicated through multiple channels, updates on the company website, and notifications to distribution partners. Customers will also receive detailed information on the impact of EOM and available options.
- The EOM process will be conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to customer contracts, warranties, and data security.
