If you are new to the Plasma Cloud Console and want a quick guide on how to get started with it, you are in the right place. We will guide you through the process to create your first organisation, set up your first network and add new devices to it (to learn more about organisations and networks, please read this article).
Please note that in this guide we will assume that you have already created an account and are currently logged into the Plasma Cloud console.
( 1 ) Create your first organisation
Navigate to Organisations > Create new organisation in the top right menu.
In the pop-up that will appear, write an organisation name, optionally a description and click Create.
The console will notify you once the operation has succeeded.
( 2 ) Create your first Network
Navigate to Networks > Create new network in the top right menu.
In the pop-up that will appear, write a network name and select a timezone. Optionally, you can also specify an address and/or a description. Then click Create.
Please note that when creating further networks you will also have the option to clone another network settings by using the drop-down menu at the bottom of this pop-up.
The console will notify you once the operation has succeeded.
( 3 ) Customize your network settings and configure your first SSID (Optional)
You can either decide to leave the default settings for your network, or to customize them. To change your network settings, navigate to Settings > Network in the main menu on the left.
From the same menu, create your first SSID by navigating to SSIDs > Create new SSID.
In the pop-up that will appear, write a SSID name and click Create.
The console will notify you once the operation has succeeded.
Your newly created SSID can be configured in the same menu, Settings > SSIDs > Your-SSID-Name. You might want to tweak these options if you want, for instance, to setup a WiFi password.
( 4 ) Add your devices
Navigate back to Overview in the main menu and click on the map to add your first device. You can either decide to type the MAC address manually or to scan its QR code. Once the form is completely filled in, click Create.
This last step can be repeated to add as many devices as needed.
You can now plug-in your devices and connect them to the Internet. The Plasma Cloud configuration only takes a few seconds!
