The Ports tab on the Media Converter Details page provides a visual representation of the Media Converter port bay, with detailed insights into port status and connected devices.
To go to the Media Converter Ports tab, you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network containing the device from top-right menu.
- In the main menu on the left, navigate to Media Converter.
- Click on your device of interest in the table. This will take you to the Media Converter Details page.
- Locate the Ports tab below the network chart.
Port Icons
Various port icons and port background colors indicate the status of the ports. The legend below the Media Converter adapts dynamically depending on the current port configurations. To learn more about the meaning of each port status icons, please refer to Port Status Legend article.
Connected Device view
To view connected devices, click on the toggle in the top left corner of the Ports tab. The meaning of the various icons are explained in Connected Devices article.
Connected Device Popup
Click on the icon of the connected device will open a popup with connected device name, model icon and connected port info (if available). If the connected device belongs to your network, you can also click on the device name to jump directly to its details page.
Port Popover
Hover with your cursor over a port to view detailed information about each port's connection status such as link (connected / disconnected), number of clients, link speed, name of the connected device, PoE consumption and port isolation status.

Port Table
The Ports table provides detailed insights into your Media Converter settings and the connected network infrastructure.
Port Settings
Click on a individual port in the Ports table to access its Port Settings page, where individual port settings can be managed. Once the Port Settings page is open, you can click directly on a port inside the Media Converter graphic to easily navigate to the Details page of the clicked port.
Blinking icons
After port settings are modified, whether through the Port Details page or the VLAN, PoE Scheduling, or Port Isolation tabs, the Media Converter may take some time to update its status in the cloud. The cloud processes configuration updates during the device check-in process, which occurs every few minutes for online devices.
Meanwhile, blinking port status icons in the Ports tab indicate that a configuration update is pending. Once the icons stop blinking, it confirms that the new configuration has been successfully applied.
