The Ports tab on the Switch details page provides a visual representation of the device's port bay, with detailed insights into port status and connected devices. For a general overview of the Switch Details page, please refer to this article.
To go to the Switch Ports tab, you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network containing the device from top-right menu.
- In the main menu on the left, navigate to Switches.
- Click on your device of interest in the table. This will take you to the Switch Details page.
- Locate the Ports tab below the network chart.
Port Icons
Various port icons and port background colors indicate the status of the ports. The legend below the Switch adapts dynamically depending on the current port configurations. To learn more about the meaning of the port status icons, please refer to this article.
Connected Device view
To view connected devices, click on the toggle in the top left corner of the Ports tab.
Connected Device Popup
Click on the icon of the connected device will open a popup with connected device name, model icon and connected port info (if available). If the connected device belongs to your network, you can also click on the device name to jump directly to its details page.
Port Popover
Hover with your cursor over a port to view detailed information about each port's connection status such as link (connected / disconnected), number of clients, link speed, name of the connected device, PoE consumption and port isolation status.

Port Table
The Ports Table provides detailed insights into your Switch settings and the connected network infrastructure. For more information, see this article.
Port Settings
Click on a individual port in the Ports table or the Switch graphic to access its Port Details page, where individual port settings can be managed. For detailed information, see this article.
Blinking icons
After port settings are modified—whether through the Port Details page or the VLAN, PoE Scheduling, or Port Isolation tabs—the Switch may take some time to update its status in the cloud. The cloud processes configuration updates during the device check-in process, which occurs every few minutes for online devices.
Meanwhile, blinking port status icons in the Ports tab indicate that a configuration update is pending. Once the icons stop blinking, it confirms that the new configuration has been successfully applied.
Link Aggregation
Link aggregation allows you to combine multiple physical links into a single logical connection between two Switches. Whenever a change in the status of a link aggregation group is detected, a pop-up message in the Ports tab will notify you. To learn more about Link aggregation, please refer to this article.
