The Plasma Cloud Console offers a comprehensive device table with vital insights into your network settings and infrastructure. The following article explains the meaning of each column in the Switch Port table.
Port
- Displays the name and number of each Switch port, including Ethernet and SFP ports (if any).
- The uplink port is marked in the table by an icon
- Displays the unique MAC address of the specific port.
- Displays user-added notes for each port (if any).
Connected Device
- Shows the name of the wired client. Clicking on the device name takes you to the respective device details page if it's within the same network.
Speed
- Reports the speed of the wired connection.
Link Aggregation
- Indicates whether the port is part of a the link aggregation group. The LAG name will be shown (i.e. LAG1) when aggregation is enabled.
Mirroring
- Shows the mirroring source or destination port when mirroring is enabled.
Drawn PoE (only for PoE Switches)
- Reports the amount of power the connected device draws via PoE.
Throttling
- Indicates upload and download throughput limits if configured. To learn how to configure throttling on a Switch port, please refer to this article.
Clients
- Shows the number of downstream clients connected to this port. For example:
- If a camera is connected to the port, the client count will be 1.
- If an Access Point is connected to the port, with 5 WiFi clients connected to it, the downstream client count will be 6.
Unrestricted Traffic
- When port isolation is enabled on a port, its traffic flow is limited. The Unrestricted Traffic column shows which ports remain accessible.
When a port isn't isolated or is the only isolated port, it can freely exchange traffic with all neighboring Switch ports, denoted by 'All ports' in the table. For more details, please see this article.
Customize View options
Table columns can be shown or hidden based on your preferences using the view options menu located above the table. Initially, certain table columns are displayed by default while others remain hidden.
To view the Unrestricted Traffic column, the network needs to be configured with firmware version 4.0 or newer.
