Whenever an Access Point reports a WiFi radio operating on an unsupported channel, the Plasma Cloud will warn you and activate a fallback configuration.
What does it mean?
When a network is configured with a certain radio channel that is not compatible with an Access Point within your network, or is legally not permitted in the country where your devices are deployed, this warning depicted above is shown.
The Plasma Cloud Console will automatically select a compatible WiFi channel to ensure the affected Access Point can continue to operate normally. You can see which channel has been auto-assigned via the Access Point table in the 'Channels' column.
What to do?
There are three ways to resolve this issue:
Automatic Configuration
It is strongly suggest to enable the WiFi AI in your network. This useful tool will automatically pick the best channels for each device in your network and ensure optimal performance. To learn how to activate the WiFi AI, please see this article.
Manual Configuration
You can also manually configure WiFi channels on both the network and Access Point level.
Network level:
Please note that not all WiFi settings are supported by every device model. Therefore, it's possible to configure network-wide WiFi settings that are compatible with some devices but incompatible with others in your network. Either pick WiFi channels that work across your entire network, or assign unique WiFi channels to individual Access Points by overriding the network default settings.

Access Point level:
Here you can override the Network WiFi settings and create an individual configuration for your selected Access Point. The Access Point details page only provides compatible channel options based on legal requirements and device capabilities.
