How to perform firmware upgrades through the Local Management Interface?

This article explains how to manually change the firmware version of a device through the Local Management Interface. 

Steps to Update Firmware

1. Open the Local Management Interface (see guide How to access the Local Management Interface?).

2. Locate the Firmware Widget on the bottom of the page.
   

3. Download the Firmware Image for your device model (click here for Switches or here for Media Converters) 

4. Click Select Firmware and choose the firmware image from your local storage.

5. Click Upgrade Firmware to begin the installation. A success or error notification will appear at the top of the screen.

6. Wait for Completion. The installation process usually takes a few minutes.

7. The device will automatically reboot once the update is complete.

Troubleshooting

• Ensure you are selecting the correct firmware file for your device model. Incorrect firmware files will be rejected.

• Do not power off or disconnect the device during the update.
