The status tab on the device details page contains a range of useful information. For a general overview of the Device Details page, please refer to this article for Access Points or this article for Switches.
To go to the device status tab, you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network containing the device from top-right menu.
- In the main menu on the left, navigate to Access Points or Switches.
- Click on the specific device you want to configure from the table. This will take you to the Device Details page.
- Locate the Status tab, it is the first tab just below the network chart.
The Status tab provides the following device-specific details:
1st Box
- MAC Address: Displays the device’s unique hardware identifier.
- Serial Number: Displays the serial number, if available.
- Location: Click on the icon to navigate to the Overview page map for easy device location.
- Topology: Shows the device's physical and logical connections within the network architecture (available for online devices).
2nd Box
- Last Check-In: Shows the timestamp of the device’s last communication with the cloud.
- Uptime: Indicates how long the device has been operational without interruption.
- Device Temperature: Indicates the operating temperature of the device, if available.
- Free Memory: Displays the amount of unused memory available on the device.
- CPU Level: Reflects the current CPU usage, indicating how busy the device’s processor is.
3rd Box
- LAN IP Address: Displays the device’s local network IP address.
- Gateway IP Address: Shows the device’s gateway IP address.
- WAN IP Address: Displays the device’s public IP address.
- DNS Servers: Lists up to three DNS server addresses, if available.
4th Box
- Firmware Version: Shows the currently installed firmware version.
- Next Firmware: Displays the next available firmware version, if available.
Viewing the Device temperature and DNS Server IP address information requires a network to be configured with firmware version 4.0 or newer.

3-dot menu
Click the three-dot button at the end of the Status tab to access additional options, including Move Device and Delete Device.
