We suggest manual channel configuration for advanced users only. Generally, the use of the automated WiFi AI function is recommended. Regular WiFi setting updates (depending on the maintenance window configuration) provide reliable and continuous adaption to changing RF environments.

To change the WiFi radio settings you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network containing the Access Point you wish to configure from the top right menu;
- Navigate to Access Points in the main menu on the left; and
- Go to the device table and click on the device you want to change the settings for.
You will now be presented with the Access Point settings page, which will be similar to the one in the screenshot below.
Here, you can manually select the channel and TX power for this specific Access Point using the drop-down menus, as well as enable or disable wireless mesh. Click the Save button to apply the new WiFi radio settings to this Access Point.

Access Points using wireless mesh must use the same WiFi channel as at least one nearby wired Access Point to ensure Internet connectivity.
