When an Access Point reports an unsupported HT mode, an alert in the form of a red triangle will be shown in the status column of the Access Points list, as depicted below. On mouse hover, the message The HT mode configured for the radio # on 2.4GHz/5GHz is not supported will pop-up.
What does it mean?
This means that the selected HT mode of your whole network is not compatible with this specific Access Point.
What to do?
To solve this issue, you will have to change the network wide HT mode (in Settings > Network) or override the HT mode settings for this specific Access Point. You can quickly reach the Access Point settings page by clicking on the gear icon in the error message pop-up.
If you wish to avoid this issue in the future, we highly suggest to select WiFi AI and let it pick the best HT modes for your network. You can enable this feature in your Networks Settings of the Plasma Cloud console, under the “WiFi Settings” section. You can read more on our WiFi AI in this article.
