Every Plasma Cloud account can create, manage and share its own organisations and networks. If you want to learn more about organisations and networks, you can read this article.
Note: You can exclusively share your own organisations and networks. You cannot share organisations and networks that have been shared with you.
This guide leads you through the process on how to share an organisation (please note that the same process applies to sharing a network).
Before you proceed, please make sure that:
- You have already created an account on the Plasma Cloud console; and
- You have created an organisation and a network in your account (see the How to get started in the Plasma Cloud console? guide).
Sharing an organisation or network can be done in two ways - feel free to pick the one that suits you best.
Method ( 1 )
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation you want to share from the top right menu;
- Navigate to Settings > Organisation in the main menu on the left;
- Click on the action button (three dots) on the top right and select Share Organisation;
- You can now type the username / email of the user you want to share your organisation with (please note: the user must already have created an account on the Plasma Cloud console). Select the permissions you want to grant (View, Edit and/or Delete) and click Share;
In the section right below, you will be able to see the users you shared this asset with, alongside the granted permissions. At any stage, granted permissions can be modified, and/or access to a shared resource revoked.
The user you shared your organisation with can now view/manage the shared asset(s) (both organisations and networks) in their console by:
- Clicking on their username at the top right of the console;
- Selecting Account Settings; and then
- Selecting Assets shared with me in the menu on the left.
Here they can check the permissions and even remove the shared asset themselves.
Method ( 2 )
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Click on your username on the top right of the console and select Account Settings;
- Select My assets in the menu on the left;
- From the table that shows up on the right, select the asset (either an organisation or a network) that you want to share;
- You can now type the username / email of the user you want to share your organisation with. Select the permissions you want to grant (View, Edit and/or Delete) and click Share;
In the section right below, you will be able to see the users you shared this asset with, alongside the granted permissions. At any stage, granted permissions can be modified, and/or access to a shared resource revoked.
