VLANs are used to configure logical networks. The VLAN tab, located on the Switch Details page, allows you to view and manage VLANs to for each switch port. For a general overview of the Switch Details page, please refer to this article.
To go to the Switch VLAN tab, you need to:
- Log into the Plasma Cloud console;
- Select the Organisation and Network containing the device from top-right menu.
- In the main menu on the left, navigate to Switch.
- Click on your device of interest in the table. This will take you to the Switch Details page.
- Locate the VLAN tab below the network chart.
View VLAN settings
Choose a VLAN from the drop-down menu above the switch graphic to highlight the ports using the selected VLAN. Ports with the selected VLAN set as the Default VLAN are highlighted in blue, while those configured with an Allowed VLAN are highlighted in pink.

Port Popover
Hovering your cursor over a switch port displays a popover that reveals the port's VLAN status.
Switch details page
VLANs can also be assigned through a Port details page, as described in this article.
