The Plasma Cloud Console offers a comprehensive device table with vital insights into your network settings and infrastructure. The following article explains the meaning of each column in the Switch Port table. To understand the columns in the Switch table, please see this article. To understand the columns in the Access Point table, please see this article instead.
Port
- Displays the name and number of each switch port, including Ethernet and SFP ports (if any).
- The uplink port is marked in the table by an icon
- Displays user-added notes for each port (if any).
Connected Device
- Shows the name of the wired client. Clicking on the device name takes you to the respective device details page if it's a WiFi Access Point or PoE switch within the same network.
Speed
- Reports the speed of the wired connection.
Link Aggregation
- Indicates whether the port is part of a the link aggregation group. The LAG name will be shown (i.e. LAG1) when aggregation is enabled.
Mirroring
- Shows the mirroring source or destination port when mirroring is enabled.
Drawn PoE
- Reports the amount of power drawn via PoE.
Throttling
- Indicates custom upload and download speed limits if configured.
Clients
- Displays the number of clients connected to this port. For example, if 5 WiFi clients are connected to an Access Point wired to a switch port, the value '5' will be shown for the respective switch port.
Unrestricted Traffic
- Lists the specific ports that a selected port can communicate with
When a port isn't isolated or is the only isolated port, it can freely exchange traffic with all neighboring switch ports, denoted by 'All ports' in the table.
In cases where multiple ports are isolated, the 'Unrestricted Traffic' column displays a list of accessible ports. For instance, as illustrated in the graphic above, Ethernet Port 1 is isolated. Consequently, it can only communicate with other non-isolated ports, specifically Ethernet 2-16, 18-24, and SFP Ports 3-4. No traffic flow occurs between other isolated ports (Ethernet 17, SFP 1-2). For details on port isolation, please see this article.
